My experience with Heart &Soil has been fantastic. I started using histamine and immune in June and I have not had any allergy symptoms since. I have had severe allergies since I have been a very small child. I do not know what it is like to live without a stuffed up nose 24/7 365 days a year. Well since I started to histamine and immune I am breathing free and clear and went through the fall allergy season without hardly a sniffle or watery itchy eyes and sneezing 20 times plus a day. Along with the other supplements I have enjoyed boosted energy and less joint pain. I just started bone matrix this week. So I will see how that works. I do have a question though. Is it possible to take too many mlgs of liver?

Heart & Soil Supplements

Hi David, Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your feedback! It means so much! We're stoked to hear that you're loving the supplements! I'd be more than happy to answer your question. It is far more difficult to overdose on liver than modern health professionals and gurus would have us believe. Their main concern is with overdosing on Vitamin A. If you have not already, please check out Paul's video discussion on this topic where he debunks many of the myths surrounding Vitamin A toxicity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuGB0Zdjhw0&t=9s&ab_channel=PaulSaladino%2CMD). In the meantime, I'll discuss acute toxicity and chronic toxicity regarding these concerns. Acute Toxicity: Like anything we cover, medical and nutritional research must always be taken into context. Much of the literature surrounding acute Vitamin A toxicity leads us to synthetic forms, such as retinyl palmitate or retinyl acetate (isolated). There are, however, many animal studies using seal liver (13,000 IU per one gram), polar bear liver (18,000+ IU per one gram), and whale liver (200,000 IU per one gram), which also demonstrate similar toxicity. I believe it is important to note that per one gram of grass-fed, grass-finished beef liver you will find a meager 180 IU of Vitamin A per gram in its natural form! The concerns here originate from arctic explorers who consumed polar bear liver. When researchers investigated this further in rat models, they found that doses of 100,000 IU of Vitamin A caused acute toxicity. When translating this to humans, this means 7.5 million IU of Vitamin A would result in the same toxicity — about 375g of polar bear liver or 95lbs of beef liver! In our opinion, the amount we commonly suggest from fresh beef liver or our supplements would never pose a threat nor should be a concern. Chronic Toxicity: Many may ask, "...but what about chronic toxicity?" Another great question! The main paper those who argue against this important vitamin continuously refer to is a review paper titled, "The acute and chronic effects of Vitamin A." In this paper, they go on to explain Vitamin A metabolism in which they state swine (pig) is a great model for humans as they have similar intestinal tracts. Further studies identified synthetic versions of Vitamin A versus liver actually have different intestinal absorption kinetics. This piece of information speaks to the fact that isolated retinol palmitate is absorbed differently when compared to the naturally occurring form found in liver. Further in this review, they note cases of chronic toxicity. We see that doses of up to 25,000 IU daily for 6 years and 100,000 IU daily for 6 months are required. That would be 5 oz of liver daily for 6 years or 20 oz (over one pound) of liver for 6 months respectively. It's important to note there are other vitamins and minerals, such as D, K2, and zinc, in our body that regulate the metabolism of Vitamin A, and deficiencies in these can pose a threat to or exacerbate toxicities. If this is truly a concern then we must be aware of the status of these nutritional cofactors in each individual. When constructing a diet and lifestyle rich in these nutrients, the threshold for toxicity climbs even higher (up to 60 oz of liver or 300,000 IU per day for months to years to develop such toxicities). In conclusion, megadoses of VItamin A in supplemental or food form are never suggested. We believe consuming 1-3 oz of fresh beef liver daily will be beneficial. Liver is a rich source of bioavailable zinc, selenium, B12, folate, riboflavin, and many others which are crucial for metabolism, immune function, fetal development, and has been treasured by our ancestors. I hope this provides you with some clarity. If you have any further questions about our supplements or how to construct a proper nose-to-tail, animal-based diet, We are always happy to help! All the best, Heart & Soil

Heart of the Warrior!

Heart of the Warrior was amazing for me. I train in the gym like a hard-core bodybuilder and I noticed right away that I had more strength and energy. Better than any other supplement I use for working out! I also noticed that my body could handle the cold weather better than usual, which was an awesome feeling! Thank you Paul and Team!

Solid Products, but heavy on the duties and taxes

Top Carnivore supplements for people who either don't have access to quality ***** meats or for people who can't stomach them. Only issue I have is shipping to Canada is expensive and I got absolutely nailed on duty. If they can find a way around that for international buyers then they have a repeat customer in me!
